DEAR .....

Ukraine and Russia

There’s news about what is happening to you. I don’t know what to say, or do. I hear about you in the news and on social media. I’m not sure how to pray. Do I pray for the one that started all this? The ones that have kept you out in the cold? Or those like you that have pushed and jostled you in your attempt for escape? Or those embarrassed by their leader?

I think about you because I am reminded about you often. Who would have thought that you would be experiencing war at this time? Your sanctuary has been infiltrated. Your life has been disrupted. Everything is chaotic. Life will never be the same again. And in all this, I can just do the following:

  1. Think about you and empathize

  2. Follow along with what is happening

  3. Hope to lend a hand and listen, incase we meet

I pray this does not cause you to loose faith in life. I hope you can rise up from this and find your feet again. I believe this will bind you closer to your loved ones. I have faith that eventually, you will be stronger and better after this.

But, right now.

All I hope is that you survive.

All I pray for you is:

Psalm 71: 20–21

“Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, And shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth… And comfort me on every side.”
