a different perspective ?

Jesus had the greatest claim to His rights and the greatest power to claim them...but instead..He laid them down and traded them in for a cross. Ironically enough, for the very people that would put Him on that cross.

The religious leaders missed what God was doing right in front them because they could not possibly believe that salvation would come in the form it had. They couldn’t see what God was doing because they were so focused on preserving the systems they were used to following.

I read something along these lines last night and the post is gone unfortunately.

This really challenged me. Where is the line in our pursuit to keep our rights and freedoms that cannot be crossed and what is petty and unimportant? Could we possibly miss God and what He is doing in our effort to preserve the systems and comforts we’ve loved for so long?
